OTHER HUNTING EXPERIENCES

At Los Melonares, we offer a large variety of types of hunting so that your stay is as complete as it can be.

On our estate, you can also enjoy the method of hunting shooting walking with dogs. Going out hunting on foot among marvellous landscapes with the help of hunting dogs makes this method an authentic sport. It is possible to shoot partridge as well as quail.

This type of hunting is carried out on our estate, an area of great wild board density. It consists of stationing oneself at sundown in a place the animals are fond of, waiting for them to leave their daytime lairs in search of food and water. Wild boars usually only move around during nightfall. They usually come very close to the hunter, therefore only hearing them approach turns the “stalk” into an unforgettable experience.

Stalking the common Spanish deer (spanish red stag), is another type of hunting from our wide range. It is carried out with the help of a guide and consists of stealthily searching for the animals until the desired trophy is located, so that they can then hunt it. Stalks of other hunting species such as Fallow deer, Mouflon or the Spanish Ibex can also be organised.

Monteria is the most typical type of big Fallow deer hunting in Spain. Our region, Andalusia, has innumerable possibilities for enjoying this exciting and impressive type of hunting. It consists of surrounding the fairly large area with several stationed hunters and with the help of dogs and dog keepers, directing the fallow deer animals towards the posts. Red stag, wild boar, mouflon and even fallow deer can be shot.
